A rare and original example of an early Les Ephgrave No.1 lugged racing bicycle. Hand-built by one of England's finest lightweight bike frame builders that appeared in London just after World War 2. Recently discovered in a private collection and is now for sale.
The frame number: LE932, is clearly stamped on the frame under the bottom bracket and the original paintwork and makers transfers (although distressed in places) show lots of charm.
It is well equipped with Chater Lea crankset and pedals/ Christophe toe-clips, French CLB front brake and lever, Brooks B17 leather saddle, Chrome adjustable handlebar stem and original 26 inch wooden sprint wheels with tied and soldered spokes.
