c.1972 Pat Hanlon Road Racing Bike. Fully Campagnolo Equipped
c.1972 Pat Hanlon Road Racing Bike. Fully Campagnolo Equipped
This Pat Hanlon racing bicycle is believed to date from 1972 according to the frame number. It is fully equipped with Campagnolo high end components throughout -some of which appear to be later than the frame.
Pat Hanlon had her shop in Tottenham - London and later in other locations and have several of the main frame builders making for her. She was also a respected wheel builder and cyclists in her own right.
This bike has been part of a collection for a number of years. Now offered for sale in as found condition for the new owner/ rider to restore, repair and enjoy on the many classic bike and motoring events. The frame is the original from 1972, however, as you can see from the photographs, is is show its age and sadly, the paint is showing patches of rust coming through. Having looked at this closely (and any buyer is welcome to view it) this is just minor surface rust which can be treated accordingly or the frame is professionally restore with new paintwork and transfers.
That aside, the bike is has a great presence and is fully fitted with Campagnolo components and Cinelli handlebars and stem. The saddle is a Brooks Professional.
A great project for someone looking for a quality small framed British classic road bike. The frame is 20 inch and would suit a teenager or small female.
